Cher, junto con su organización benéfica de ella 'Free The Wild', trabaja para rescatar y reubicar animales salvajes en santuarios. Free the Wild ya ha rescatado otras especies como el elefante Kaavan de Pakistán, leones y otros grandes felinos, osos y más de Ucrania y otros países. Uno de sus proyectos actuales incluye la misión de rescatar a Bua Noi, el gorila solitario que se encuentra cautivo en un zoológico de un centro comercial en Bangkok, Tailandia.
Cher también se ha sumado a otras campañas, como la de 'Di No' contra la experimentación con animales junto al Max Stern Yezreel Valley College y desarrollada por el movimiento ecobanda 'One Fight Unite' de Besureis.
Cher ha firmado ahora la carta dirigida al presidente del Gobierno de España solicitando que se legisle una Ley de Grandes Simios tal y como aprobó el Congreso de los Diputados al aprobar la Ley de Bienestar Animal actualmente en vigor.

There are more and more famous personalities from the world of cinema, science, writers, academics, who support a Great Apes Law in Spain. The next government has the obligation by Law to legislate a Law in favor of our evolutionary Hominid brothers, sisters, cousin species and in which it will surely find a lot of rejection from opposition parties.
Cher is a well-known and famous musical artist and Oscar winning actress in the United States.
In addition, she is a leader in animal rights and welfare and co-founder of www.freethewild.org which provides sanctuary for captive wildlife in poor conditions. Cher along with her charity ‘Free The Wild’ works to rescue and relocate wild animals to sanctuaries. Free the Wild have already rescued other species such as Pakistan's Kaavan elephant, lions and other big cats, bears and more from Ukraine and countries. One of their current project include the mission to rescue Bua Noi, the lonely gorilla who is held captive in a shopping centre zoo in Bangkok, Thailand.
Cher has also joined other campaigns, such as 'Say No' against animal testing together with the Max Stern Yezreel Valley College and developed by Besureis 'One Fight Unite' eco-band movement.
Cher has now signed the letter addressed to the President of the Government of Spain requesting that a Great Apes Law be legislated as approved by the Congress of Deputies when approving the Animal Welfare Law that is currently in force.
